Kim is an actress and narrator. She is also a sex worker, has sold soap, is a bar woman, German, Polish ... In Traumgirl, Kim negotiates how it is to work on the border of "real work", performance and so-called "dirty work". Traumgirl is the female counterpart to the solo performance Traumboy about male sex work and also moves between documentary theatre and autofiction. The solo questions not only female sex work, but sex and work in general against the background of a neoliberal society. What can a woman reveal about herself? What not? And who pays the price?
Traumgirl has been presented at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as part of Pro Helvetia’s Swiss Selection Edinburgh. The Swiss premieres happened for the opening of the new Tanzhaus Zürich and for the 35th anniversary of XENIA - Fachstelle Sexarbeit at Schlachthaus Theater Bern.
